Big Idea: Jesus knew what was coming, yet He still chose to obey God's plan.

Matthew 26:17–46
(Luke 22:7–46 as supporting text)

Biblical Understanding:
Jesus shared a special meal with His disciples, explaining God's plan of salvation. Even when He was scared in the Garden, He chose to follow God's will.


Learning Goals (Knowledge and Skills):

Students will:

  • Understand the significance of the Last Supper as a symbol of Jesus’ sacrifice.

  • Recognise Jesus’ obedience in the Garden of Gethsemane, even in fear.

  • Reflect on how we can trust God’s plan when things are hard.


Essential Question:

Why did Jesus choose to follow God’s plan, even though it was difficult?

    • Display a simple chart showing the events leading up to the cross.
