This parable, found in Mark 4, presents a powerful lesson about the reception of the Word of God.
Jesus uses the imagery of a sower scattering seed to illustrate the different ways people respond to His message. Some seeds fall on hard ground, representing those who hear the Word but quickly forget it. Other seeds fall among thorns, representing those who are distracted by the cares of this world. Finally, some seeds fall on good soil, representing those who hear the Word and put it into practice.
