A broken bell. A canyon full of echoes. And a rumour travelling faster than the truth.
When Willow sends Valor, Echo, Penny, Patch and Tempest beyond the Great Gate to help repair the silent way-bell at Whisper Canyon, the journey should be simple. Instead, they discover that false stories are turning travellers away from Thistlewhinny—and familiar voices are calling from places they should not be.
As fog settles over the canyon and a clever Fox begins using half-truths, echoes and false signs to lead others astray, Valor must learn that leadership is not about having every answer. Sometimes it means listening carefully, asking better questions and trusting the strengths of the friends beside you.
Whispers Beyond the Gate is Book Two in the Willow & Valor series, written for children aged 7–10. It is a full-length animal adventure filled with humour, suspense, friendship and heart.
