A lantern road. A false light. And a journey that tests what guidance really means.
When Valor and his friends are sent beyond Thistlewhinny to travel the Lantern Road, the task appears simple: follow the marked route, help where they are needed, and return home.
But not every light points the right way. As familiar paths become uncertain and the Fox learns how to imitate the signs others trust, Valor must discover that leadership is not about always knowing where to go. It is about listening, checking what is true, trusting the right voices and having the courage to stop when the path no longer makes sense.
The Lantern Road is Book Three in the Willow & Valor series, written for children aged 7–10. It is a full-length animal adventure filled with humour, suspense, friendship and heart.
Rooted in Jesus’ teachings about wisdom, discernment, trust and walking in the light, the story works first as an adventure while the optional Behind the Story section offers Scripture connections, family discussion questions and gentle reflection prompts.
